1. Who is responsible

ReelBounty is the controller of personal information used to operate ReelBounty, except where a service provider acts independently for its own purposes. Contact privacy@reelbounty.co about this notice or your data rights.

2. Information we collect

  • Account details, including name, email, role, authentication identifiers, status and recorded declarations.
  • Creator profile and public social-account details, submitted post URLs, public content identifiers and performance snapshots.
  • Publisher organisation, campaign, billing-contact and transaction information.
  • Applications, review decisions, correspondence, disputes, fraud flags and administrative audit records.
  • Stripe account references, onboarding and payout status. We do not store complete card or bank-account numbers.
  • Technical, security and service-log information such as IP address, device/browser data and request events where our hosting, authentication and protection providers make it available.

3. Where information comes from

We receive information from you, authorised members of your organisation, other ReelBounty users involved in a campaign, public social-media pages, Stripe, and our hosting, authentication, email, security and public-metrics providers. TikTok public metrics may be obtained through Tikfly on RapidAPI where configured.

4. Why we use it

PurposeTypical lawful basis
Create accounts, run bounties, review content, calculate rewards and support payoutsContract or steps requested before a contract
Prevent fraud, secure ReelBounty, moderate activity and improve reliable operationsLegitimate interests in operating a safe marketplace
Accounting, tax, platform reporting, legal claims and regulatory requestsLegal obligation or legitimate interests
Optional marketing or non-essential tracking, if introducedConsent where required

We will explain a different basis when a new use requires one. We do not currently make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects solely by automated means; fraud flags and account/payment holds are reviewable by a person.

5. Who receives information

We share only what is reasonably needed with campaign counterparties; organisation members; Supabase for database/authentication/storage; Netlify for hosting; Stripe for billing, Connect onboarding and payouts; Resend for service email; Cloudflare Turnstile for authentication abuse protection; and RapidAPI/Tikfly for supported public TikTok verification. Providers may act as processors or independent controllers under their own terms. We may also disclose information to advisers, regulators, tax authorities, law enforcement, a buyer of the business, or where needed to protect legal rights.

6. International transfers

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where UK data-protection law requires safeguards, we expect the responsible party to use an adequacy regulation, approved contractual safeguards and any necessary transfer assessment. Provider locations and safeguards must be rechecked before production launch.

7. How long we keep information

We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes above. Active account and campaign records remain while the service is being provided. Financial, tax, seller-verification, fraud, dispute and audit records may be retained after account closure where law or legal claims require it. Other data will be deleted or anonymised under the production retention schedule. Exact category-by-category periods must be approved before launch.

8. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, UK data-protection law may let you access, correct, erase, restrict or receive your information, or object to certain uses. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights can have exceptions.

Signed-in users can download an account export or request deletion. You may also contact our privacy email in any clear written form. We normally respond without undue delay and within one month, subject to lawful extensions. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

9. Age and security

Creator participation is limited to people aged 18 or over. ReelBounty uses access controls, row-level database security and specialist payment providers, but no internet service can promise absolute security. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised account access.

10. Changes

We may update this notice as the product, providers or law change. Material changes will be highlighted in the service or sent to the account email where appropriate. The date at the top identifies the current version.
